Hello! I’m Roisin Fox, a cartoon illustrator with a lifelong love for storytelling through art.

My work is inspired by the children’s books I cherished growing up—particularly the timeless charm of Shirley Hughes and Janet Ahlberg. Their illustrated worlds sparked my imagination early on, and I’ve been drawing ever since.

I studied Art and Design through to university, where I honed my skills in fine art and created large-scale canvas paintings, often focused on still life, whilst I delighted in drawing cartoons in every spare moment. My journey later led me into primary teaching—a path filled with creativity and joy— however my passion for illustration never faded. In fact, it grew stronger.

Today, from my home studio in Southampton, I’ve returned to what I love most: creating artwork that celebrates life’s little moments. My illustrations and paintings are full of warmth, playfulness, and a sense of nostalgia—often centered around the theme of celebration.

I work primarily in acrylic for paintings, and Faber Castell colouring pencils and black pen, for my illustrations. Whether it’s a birthday, a funny moment, or a quirky character brought to life with ink and color, my goal is to make people smile and feel something familiar.

Thank you for being here. I’m so glad you’ve found your way to my corner of the creative world.
